STAFF
Sacred Heart
School is administered by Thomas Feltz.
The staff is
composed of dedicated religious and lay teachers. All have degrees and hold
State Teaching Certificates. Ongoing continuing education and professional
development (in-services, institutes, conventions, etc.) is a process
whereby the staff continues their education to more completely meet the
present day students’ needs. The staff attempts to keep a visionary
perspective.
The staff’s
loving care and concern for each student as a unique individual is evidenced
in creative approaches to the daily curriculum. Learning is made relevant,
challenging, and fun.
Teachers instruct in
specialized areas; additional teachers, who are specialists in specific
areas, enhance the
curriculum; they teach music, physical education, and computer technology. Volunteer aides,
primarily parents, form an auxiliary staff, providing
additional support for both teachers and students in the library, the
classroom, the lunchroom, etc. There are also homeroom parents for relays and
other homeroom activities; there are sports program coaches as well.

FORMATION
At Sacred Heart
School, the focus is not only on what the child can do, but on what the
child can be. Through daily instruction, the students are guided in the
understanding of their Catholic heritage, in developing a strong
foundation for growth in faith and Christian Catholic values, in family
life, in human sexuality, and in recognizing their full, human potential.
ALL students
enrolled in Sacred Heart School are required to take part in religious formation which is
considered basic to the mission and philosophy of Sacred Heart School.
